Olympic gold medal heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill explains how she has dealt with criticism during her elite sporting career and how it helped her to become a better athlete.

"I think most athletes would say that they are their biggest critic." says Ennis, who collected her Olympic gold at London 2012 and is also a three-time world champion.

"I look back on my career and I was so harsh on myself. I felt that was the way I could keep motivating myself and pushing myself forward."

As a football coach, it's very important that you know and understand how to deal with criticism and also learn to critique your own performances.

In our CPD course, Getting Better At Getting Better, our coach development mentor, Sarah McQuade, explores this important skill to help you critically reflect on how you do what you do so that you might do it differently, and better, in the future. Click the image below to learn more and enrol.
