Sarah McQuade is our Coach Development Mentor

Sarah is the founding director of E.T.C coaching consultants, a US-based consultancy practice specialising in the professional development of sports coaches and sports coach developers.

Sarah has spent more than 20 years working within sports and sports coach education, which began with Sports Coach UK. She then moved into consulting sports organisations in the UK to support the training and ongoing professional development of coaches and coach developers.

Some of the fantastic organisations Sarah has worked with are UK Sport, Sport Scotland, The Professional Golf Association, Rugby Football Union, UK Athletics and many more.

Now based in the USA, Sarah works collaboratively with partners to create the right coaching systems, coaching programs and coaches to ensure they can positively impact athlete experiences and outcomes. Current clients include the US Olympic Committee, International Olympic Committee, World Rowing and USA Football.

She is proud to work extensively with the University of Delaware and of course United Soccer Coaches, where she is a tutor and mentor on the Master Coach Program. She has also designed and delivered United Soccer Coaches’ Coach Developer Diploma.

Sarah believes there is a significant demand for a platform like MiMentor and said she has always wanted a platform like this since she started working in her field.

Sarah said: “MiMentor is invaluable. It has the potential to remove all geographical barriers and create a coaching community of academics, 'pracademics' and practitioners to share, challenge, learn and develop.

“This platform presents the opportunity to reach more coaches to share some key learning and messages that sit outside the Xs and Os, and I believe are critical to quality coaching."
