Jamie Godbold is our Coach Development Mentor

Jamie, an ex-professional footballer with Stoke City, has spent the last 20 years in various coaching roles.

After retiring from the pro game as a player, Jamie, a UEFA A Licence holder, began working with Norwich City Community Sports Foundation before making the move to the English Football Association where he was deployed as a specialist foundation phase skills coach.

From there, he moved into the Coach Education department as a leading specialist coach educator, working with grassroots level coaches on the technical and tactical side of coaching both in training and competition.

Jamie tutored many graduates through various licences (FA Youth Modules, Level 1, Level 2, UEFA B and Futsal) hosted across the country and was a popular member of the teaching staff for coaches.

Throughout that time, Jamie continued playing non-league football, progressing into management and has served spells at the helm of AFC Sudbury, Kirkley & Pakefield, Wroxham and now as manager of Lowestoft Town,.

"Through the MiMentor Platform, I want to be able to offer coaches a deeper, more technical level of understanding around what they do and why they do it," said Jamie.

"Rather than just picking a coaching session off the internet, I want to give them the know-how to go beyond that and create tactical, effective sessions that they can adapt and deliver at their level.”
