Ross is our Coach Development Mentor

Ross Embleton, a UEFA Pro Licence holder, is currently Colchester United's head of recruitment and has previously worked at clubs including Leyton Orient, where he was the O's head coach.

Ross has also worked within the first team at Swindon Town as well as the academies of Premier League clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and AFC Bournemouth, as well as Norwich City.

As part of the MiMentor team, Ross's philosophy of growing and learning as a coach so he can keep improving and developing players at all levels of the game is in line with our own.

"I like to stretch myself across many different levels and formats of the game, coaching young children all the way through to the experiences I've had working with first-team players. One of the things I like to pride myself on is finding all the elements of the game that relate to each age group and each level, and how they can transfer and lead into each other, and how I can benefit as a coach to get the most out of the players I'm working with."

Ross contributes to our online coach development content and session plans, as well as our Coaches Coffee Club interviews.

Meet The Mentor: Ross Embleton
During Euro 2020 we will be hosting a number of live webinars to look at the technical and tactical approaches that teams adopt during the tournament, in collaboration with our partners Keyframe Sports.
Ross Embleton, Colchester United's Head of Recruitment, talked about the subject of Coach Qualities, as well as giving us an insight into his career path in the game.
Brighton & Hove Albion may be seen as a surprise package in the early stages of this Premier League campaign, sitting in the top four, but is it really that unexpected?
Re-watch our recent webinar with coach development mentor Jamie Godbold as he takes an in depth look at the philosophy of playing out from the back.
What is an Overlap / Underlap
To mark United Soccer Coaches 2023 Convention, we're giving away a FREE one year's subscription for the MiMentor Platform to all coaches who purchase one of our discounted offer courses during January!
In this webinar, we introduce a players perspective with special guest Shaun Wright-Phillips. SWP talks to our expert panel about his experiences with coaches throughout his playing career.
Former England national team manager Steve McClaren spoke to MiMentor about his most important consideration when arriving at a new club - building a culture.
Our expert mentors shared their insights and experiences and answered a whole host of questions from the many coaches who joined us live on the webinar. It was a valuable and interesting session for those who wanted to develop their coaching EI but also to support the development of their players.
